Kate and Pouchy

Kate and Pouchy

Here’s Kate and her new friend, Pouchy the seed pouch. They’re working together to gather seed from unripe milkweed seed pods in the Chiricahua Mountains.

The idea behind this rudimentary seed pouch (simply a paper bag) is to save time, fuel and money by reducing the number of trips to this population of milkweed plants.

Thank you, Jill and Alex (a couple of super-volunteers) for helping us design and create some of these seed pouches.
