BECY kids and their pollinator garden.

These kids are amazing! The Borderlands Earth Care Youth (BECY) Institute is almost complete for this year. In the last few days, the Patagonia-area high school students planted 70 endemic agaves, planted 124 plants in a pollinator garden, and created berms for restoration plants as part of our hummingbird sanctuary project. This team really knows how to work hard & do quality work. We accomplished twice as much as planned; including creating gully plugs in a badly eroded channel on a hill. We are so proud of this group! The berms & gully plug was preparation for a restoration event July 19-20. This will be a weekend long collaborative event with Sky Island Alliance. There are still open spots for the event – sign up now! Contact Molly at mollylmccormick(AT)Gmail(DOT) for more information.
