ACTING LIKE NATURE: Landscape Scale Restoration

foresty dept tour

This week BR met with land managers and conservation groups interested in collaborating on Sonoita Creek watershed restoration projects. BR loves working in the spaces between boundaries, and because we fill gaps, diverse groups can come together to act based on the laws of nature: beyond the political boundaries & linear fences of the human-created world. Here, folks from AZ Dept of Forestry, The Nature Conservancy, US Forest Service Nogales & Sierra Vista districts, Patagonia Lake State Park, Friends of Sonoita Creek, Patagonia Area Resource Alliance & more, take a tour of the Madrean Archipelago Propagation center, BR’s native plant nursery. We hope plants from the center will be installed during the forming landscape-scale watershed restoration projects, and that more community members will get an opportunity to help fill ecological gaps & practice in acting with the laws of nature.
