Native Seed Wild-Harvest Workdays: Building on our seed collection workdays of 2015 at Deep Dirt Farm Institute and Saguaro National Park, we are calling on our community to help harvest the native seeds that fuel our restoration efforts on two Saturdays in late October. We will meet in downtown Patagonia, AZ, and carpool to our collection locations (TBA).

Seed collection for restoration offers participants of all ages the unique opportunity to interact closely with wild lands. We will cover basic species identification, collection ethics, techniques, and then set the group to work harvesting seed heads of native species specially chosen for their restoration value. We welcome participation by groups, troops, individuals, families – everyone’s hands are needed!
