Guided Hike

Join Borderlands Restoration Network for a guided hike with our Environmental Field Educator, Karla Hernandez! Come experience the incredible biodiversity of the Madrean Archipelago, also known as the Sky Islands, where desert, grassland, and forest meet to support rare wildlife and unique ecosystems. Learn how these natural systems function and why they matter, and leave with a deeper understanding of how we can all play a role in protecting this remarkable landscape.
Be prepared for the May heat by wearing your protective clothing, eyewear, and hats, and bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Please view additional Hiking Guidelines here. Make sure to let us know if you have any mobility issues we should be aware of!

Native Seed Collection Workshop
October 17: 9 AM - 3 PM

Join us for a tour of the BRN Seed Lab to learn about our operations and programs, then head out to the beautiful San Rafael Valley to learn about native grasses and our ethical seed collection protocols.
Participants will help collect seeds that will be used in a local ecological restoration project to mitigate erosion and revegetate the landscape to support healthy habitats.
