MEDIA LUNA

Media lunas are longer versions of one-rock-dams, with rows of rocks stacked side by side, but they maintain a uniform height. This is because they help disperse water instead of trying to maintain a channelized flow. They are usually placed above headcuts or along roads to help slow down sheet flow and prevent water from channelizing.
