RYAN's Bio
Ryan Golb (he/him) grew up camping and hiking in the lush Columbia River Gorge of Oregon and Washington. His deep-seated appreciation of the natural world began here. Ryan went on to study at the University of Arizona and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Geography, focusing on water, environment, and society. During his academic tenure in the southwest, Ryan became fascinated with the incredible diversity and adaptations of the biotic communities in arid environments.
Since completing his degree in Tucson, Ryan has worked as a GIS Analyst, Natural Resource Specialist, field technician, and drone pilot. Each of these roles contributed to conservation and environmental initiatives across the arid landscapes of northeastern California, northwestern Nevada, and southern Arizona. In 2025, he joined Borderlands Restoration Network as a Restoration Specialist, bringing his unique set of skills to support watershed and ecological restoration in the Madrean Archipelago and the surrounding Sonoran Desert.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys hiking and biking with friends and family. He is always down to appreciate nature and have some fun in the great outdoors.
