Seed Pellets

Seed pellets are made with native seed, compost, and clay. When they are mixed, they form approximately 1-inch long pellets in which the seeds are protected by the dried clay until rain arrives and washes it away. This leaves the seeds with a bit of helpful nutrients from the compost to help establish, while rain provides critical water needed to germinate. We spread seed pellets from Borderlands Nursery & Seed in degraded areas and within our structures.
