TRAVIS' Bio

After studying botanical medicine around the country, Travis (he/him) came to Patagonia in 2013 as a farm apprentice at the Native Seeds/SEARCH conservation farm. During this time he joined Borderlands Restoration as a citizen scientist and later was hired as a restoration horticulturist/plant monitor. He left town in 2014 to travel and gain further experience in permaculture gardening and construction before rejoining the BRN team in 2016.

 

These days, Travis manages our farmed native seed operations and various maintenance projects around the nursery and seed barn and lends a helping hand in all other aspects of work on the ground for the Native Plant Program.
